British fashion at its very best, and the original and leading player behind the British heritage movement, Lyle and Scott remerged onto the fashion scene at the beginning of the last decade and quickly became the UK's most popular brand for men. The history of the brand stretches back to the 19th century in Scotland in the small town of Hardwick where two business partners decided to create a specialist knitwear company for the game of golf. The company was immortalised into fashion history during the 1940's when they teamed up with Christian Dior to produce a range of Lyle and Scott knitwear.
